Not Only - But Also

*Use - Not only......but also*

1). Not only......but also हे co- ordinathing conjunction (समन्वयी अवयव)अाहे.
२). समान दर्जा किवा समान महत्वाची दोन वाक्य जोडण्याकरीता not only......but also चा वापर करतात.
३). जर वाक्यात  or, too, just, then, also, as well as, as well, but only, both etc.शब्द काढुन दोन वाक्यातील समान भाग एकदाच लिहावा.
४). not only.....but also वापरून दाेन केवलवाक्यांचे( simple sentences) एक संयुक्त वाकय (compound) बनविता येते.

Rule.1

दिलेल्या वाक्यात जर दोन विशेषणे  आली तर पहिल्या विशेषणाच्या अगोदर not only तर दुसऱ्या विशेषणाच्या पूर्वी  म्हणजे and च्या जागी but also वापरणे.
१. He grew fat and heavy.
- He grew not only fat but also heavy.
2.  They heard screams and banging.
- They heard not only screams but also banging.

Rule.2

दिलेल्या वाक्यात कर्ता एकच असताना जर दोन वेगवेगळी क्रियापद आली तर पहील्या क्रियापदाच्या पूर्वी not only तर दुसऱ्या क्रियापदाच्या पूर्वी म्हणजेच and च्या जागी but also वापरणे.
१). Antara heard an unusual commotion and came out.
- Antara not only heard an unusual commotion but also came out.

2). Water guished in from all sides and inched up.
- water not only guished in from all sides but also inched up.

Rule.3

वाक्य़ात जर दोन भिन्न नामे आल्य़ास आणि क्रियापदे समान असल्य़ास पहिल्य़ा नामापूर्वी Not Only आणि दुस-या नामापूर्वी म्हणजेच and च्या जागी But Also वापरुन दोन समान कियापदा पैैकी एकच कियापद
घेणे.
१). He then informed the police and the forest department.
- He informed not only the police but also the forest department.
2). I like coffee. I like tea.
- I like न only coffee but also tea.

Rule.4

वाक्यात जेव्हा दोन समान कर्ते असतात परंतु क्रियापद वेगवेगळी असतात अशा वेळी पहिल्या क्रियापदाच्या पूर्वी not only अाणि दुस-या क्रियापदाच्या पूर्वी म्हणजेच दुस-या कर्त्याच्या जागी but also वापरणे.
१). Mangesh speaks English .he reads Hindi.
- Mangesh not only speaks English but also reads hindi

Rule.5

१). वाक्यात जर दोन भिन्न कर्ते असतील तर वाक्याची सुरुवात Not Only ने करुन N.O. नंतर पहिला कर्ता लिहणे.
२). त्या कर्त्यानंतर but also लिहुन दुसरे वाक्य आहे तसेच लिहणे.
1). Parth and his mother were busy in packing.
- Not only parth but also his mother were in busy packing.
